Hey everyone. If you love beer like I do, it's time to do your part. Apparently the Georgia Dept of Revenue wants to LIMIT all Georgia breweries from serving beer during beer tours and events!! They think that we should be allowed only TWO OUNCE POURS of beer!! This will drive most of our small breweries to the edge, since they depend on sampling their products to compete with the industry giants. They have spent tons of money on great beer rooms that we all enjoy, and now they will be useless! This is just one more example of giant industry and government trying to kill new ideas and small businesses. WE LOVE AND DEMAND OUR BEER!
These guys add to our life, whether in Athens or Atlanta. We gotta help'em out.
Those at risk are:
Terrapin
Atlanta Brewing Company
Sweetwater
Read below to see what to do...
Thanks!
Mike

Hell yeah! I'm getting behind this. I heard about this the other day from the good people at Terrapin and later had it confirmed at Atlanta Brewing's Friday night thing. These limits on pours are so ridiculous, even a Methodist minister like my dad will drink more than 16oz of beer!

WTF? What the heck were we fighting for back when we got the gravity laws changed? To prevent crazy sh*t like this from happening. I have already sent the letter to DOR and also signed the petition. C'mon everybody, let's save our local breweries.

Next time they will try and limit the amount of food you can taste at Whole Foods. Everyone at the tasting rooms is over 21 and they are there to sample, if we don't limit other samples, why limit beer? This is nuts and I have yet to see any justification. I have already written and expressed my shock.
